Sailor North American Special Edition: Pirate’s Life
The new Sailor Pirate’s Life 1911L and 1911S are here! I am so here for this edition. I’ve noncommittally declared myself a gold-trim-only person in life, and this one is perfect. This is another North American special edition, so we’ll have them while we have them. What a beauty! This colour is fall and golden and warm and everything I need right now.
Brass Stamps for Wax Seals from Back to Zero
We’ve just received a restock from Hong Kong’s Back to Zero Brass Stamps. These are some of our favourite designs, some modern, some traditional. They’re a lovely touch on letters, and I especially like them on thicker stationery, like G. Lalo.
An Overview of Hobonichi Planners
The Hobonichi planners have arrived and in one big maelstrom they are swooping out the door. It’s wild. A lot of covers and accessories sold out quite quickly, and we know some of you have missed out. We are expecting our second order to arrive early October, and we are planning carefully to make sure that everyone has an opportunity to get what they want. For some of the items, this was the first year Hobonichi released them to retailers, so we are still adjusting accordingly. New in From The Superior Labor
It’s always lovely and overwhelming and leathery when shipments from Superior Labor come in. I don’t know in the history of all of our shipments from Superior Labor if all the boxes have ever come on the same day due to the waywardness of Canada Post and customs, but I guess that’s part of the fun.

The special edition TWSBI 580 ALR Prussian Blue is now available for pre-order! We are keeping our fingers for them to arrive this week. They sold right out the first time around, and so I’ve been holding onto the photos for a while.
New in the Shop: KITTA
It’s always very exciting to add a new line in, particularly when it’s something completely new to our shop. While we’ve carried washi tape for a while now, these little booklets of washi tape strips from KITTA in Japan are great.
J. Herbin 350th Anniversary Inks
In celebration of J. Herbin’s 350th anniversary, they released a special edition of five of their inks. In beautiful glass bottles, there is a quite large 500mL bottle and a 100mL set, which includes a glass ink dipping well.
100 Years of Platinum Pens
Our Platinum distributor recently paid us a visit, and left us this incredible history book/catalogue from Platinum, which Platinum released to celebrate their 100th anniversary last year. It’s been fascinating reading, especially as this is a pen company steeped in another country’s culture, and I am learning so much. I also missed out on a lot of pretty great pens.
Blackwing Volume 3 Ravi Shankar
Blackwing Volume 3 is here! This pencil is celebration of Ravi Shankar, with a matte turmeric finish and featuring “a pattern of ॐ (Om), a sacred Sanskrit symbol with three phonetic components that correlate to the waking, dream, and unconscious states of being.” It’s a beauty! It has extra-firm graphite.
New Inks from Kyo No Oto
After quite a long time, we’ve finally gotten a restock of Kyo No Oto inks from Japan. Kyo No Oto inks are so elegant, in such lovely packaging. Their colours are pretty unique, and these three new inks bring their total to ten.
