So it begins! We're planning our train trip across Canada! This will be our first trip since we opened the shop three years ago.
Super's Birthday, and He Turns Seven
We celebrated Super's birthday this past weekend! I know it seems like everyday is a celebration for him, but on Monday, Super got his very own breakfast sandwich, rather than having to steal one of ours from the table. It lasted about four seconds.

Today is something a bit different for the blog! Another Wonder Pens Adventure.. Ages ago, I stumbled across this article about Sigma Typewriters from the Hamilton Spectator, and I told Jon that one day we were going to have to make a trip to this tiny shop tucked away in Hamilton, and get me a typewriter from here.
Year of the Monkey
Happy Chinese and Lunar New Year! It's coming up on February 8th, for those of you not following the lunar calendar. And, how exciting, it's Year of the Monkey!
Caleb Adventures in IKEA
We have been "needing" a trip to Ikea for a long time, and with the bricks & mortar closed this week, we piled into our trusty/rusty two-door Civic, looking forward to the drive home, cramped into seats pushed all the way forward by long and flat cardboard boxes.
Christmas Behind the Shop
Merry Christmas! I had hoped to pop onto here in a more timely fashion (i.e. before Christmas had actually happened) to wish you all a happy Christmas or else just an extra happy Friday, but things got away from me a bit.
Caleb & Super
When we found out we were expecting a baby (Caleb), we were most concerned about how the dog would handle it all. Not necessarily that the dog would be jealous, since he's never really been jealous of anything, but that he'd be too crazy around a new baby.
Caleb Adventures in the Halls
Our bricks & mortar shop is on the south side of a fairly large, mostly old-industrial type building. Sometimes you don't really think about the rest of the building, or at least I don't, because we have direct access to the outside - our doors to the apartment and the shop open directly outside, as opposed to into a hall - but the building is huge.
