Christmas and Holiday Hours
I can hardly believe it’s already coming up to that time of year, but with the snow on the ground here in Toronto, it’s starting to feel like it. Every year, as the temperatures start dropping, and the days get shorter, we start planning and preparing for the craziness of the holidays in the shops.
Update from Hong Kong
Still in Hong Kong! Summer is closing in on September, and we’re very much looking forward to returning back home, seeing the shops, seeing the animals.
Traveler's Notebook Meet-Up: Saturday, February 23rd 2-4 pm
We've been selling Traveler's Notebooks for as long as we've been open, and it's always been a big part of our shop. I still remember when we first opened and didn't carry all of their accessories, and slowly over time, carrying more and more. It fits so perfectly within our shop culture of things that will stay with you and serve you for years, changing and adjusting as you need it to.
Open Call for Chalkboard Artists
In our new shop, we inherited a floor to ceiling section of wall that's covered in chalkboard. The teacher in me is all over the idea of bringing up "students" to the board to have them practise their cursive writing, but we've actually placed our counter in front of it, since it's the centre of the shop.
