Behind the Shop
Life has changed in many ways over the last year. We now have a new baby. Sometimes customers come in and say, "Oh, what a darling, asleep in the wrap, oblivious to all the pen and ink browsing.
Dear Pen Friends, The snow has arrived, and with it, the holiday spirit! The shop is busy and warm, and we're thrilled to see lots of familiar faces thinking of Christmas and holiday gifts for their loved ones.
It's that time of year! Temperatures are beginning to dip, and we've had our first few snowfalls.
There is some construction on Bathurst intersecting with Dundas West, which is our major intersection to the East. If you are driving, I would suggest coming to us from the north on College, and there is some good residential street parking around the neighbourhood.
We went to the pen show! Baby in tow, Jon sat me down for a stern talking-to about restraint and self-control, and we were off to Toronto Public Library's flagship Reference Branch. We aimed to arrive just after 10, hoping to avoid the crowds...but this was not to be.
re: Porter, the journal of Porter Airlines stopped by the other day, and just like that, someone's handsome mug made it into the pages! We are thrilled. If you are flying on Porter this summer, take a peek at your friendly, neighbourhood stationery shop (that's us!). Tag us on Instagram or Twitter with #wonderpens if you're on Porter and you see us!
It has been a long, long winter, and as many of you know, it has also meant we've had a hard time getting new inks in.
Valentine's Day is coming up...that sweet, chocolate-y time of year when kids are scrunching up cards with little confessions of love, everything seems pink and cinnamon flavoured, and you can see men everywhere wandering aimlessly through the city looking for that "just right" gift.
