We recently got these new Pentel Aquash Water Brushes, which are brushes that hold water in a soft barrel, allowing you to squeeze to release more water as you like. For us, we’re finding most people are using them for on the go watercolour painting and brush lettering.

TWSBI has really been on a roll lately, having just released the ECO White RoseGold. Before that they had released four new standard inks as part of their permanent line-up: black, blue-black, blue and red. In the excitement of the holidays and the new year, I’ve haven’t posted about them yet, but the inks are great. Of course they are.

Lamy has just released its latest Al-Star special edition, Turmaline and its matching ink, a beautiful turquoise.

It’s that time of year again! InCoWriMo is International Correspondence Writing Month, and goal is to write a letter a day for the entire month of February. This also doubles as being a great way to get through a dreary month.

Another new item that’s perfect for starting off a new year—I think I start off every year hoping/planning to read more, or read better.

What better way to start off the new year than to share with you news of a special edition of our portfolios from the Superior Labor: Ochre, a beautiful warm, rich ochre yellow leather. It will be available in the A5 Portfolio and the Pen and Wallet Case.

Rohrer and Klingner just released a special edition ink for 2019, a brown colour called Kastanienbraun, which roughly translates to maroon. It seems a bit more like a brown than a true maroon, but in either case, it’s a rich, warm brown.

We have a few new calendar and dated products in this year, and since we’ve never carried these sort of daily wall calendars, so I thought I would share a few more photos.

These unique nibs, made only by Sailor, developed through their exceptional craftsmanship, have taken on mythical status. Along with their legendary writing experience, this is at least in small part due to their scarcity: the labour and time each of these nibs take to produce limits how many can be produced in any given season, and for a while, sale of them was on hold.

Scriptus is well and done for the year, but bear with me as I just share this last post on the Scriptus show ink, Diamine Rushbrooke Blue. The ink got its name from Philip, the show organizer’s, street in Toronto.
