A New Website + Extended Brick and Mortar Hours
It's been a bit quiet on the blog lately as we've been wrapping a few projects and making the most of these last few summer days. And while it's been quiet, some of you may have noticed we have a new website!
Our Pen and Ink Swap
We held our first Pen and Ink Swap this past Sunday afternoon, and it was fabulous. It was terrific to see a lot of familiar faces, and also quite a few new faces. It was a busy afternoon!
Pen and Ink Swap Market - Sunday, July 30th, 1-5 pm
We're hosting our very first Pen and Ink Swap Market! This is our first market for customers to come and sell their own used or new pens, inks and supplies, sort of like an in-person Kijiji.
Caleb Adventures in the Hall
In the late spring, and even up to now, we've seemed to have had a lot of cool and rainy days. We've been wandering through the halls again, sometimes on foot, sometimes on wheels - despite all my concerns about the lack of normal-house-ness for Caleb, I suppose in some ways we're pretty lucky that this place is filled with exciting elevator adventures, new and interesting people, construction, workshops, motorcycles parked in the halls, loose dogs, dumpsters, bicycle repair shops, gym rats exercising.

Spring Planting Behind the Shop
It's seemed a bit cooler this spring, which I'm loving here in Toronto - it's a very short window of brisk and cool and sunny weather before the heat comes and ice cream seems to melt before you can lick it.

Introduction to Fountain Pens, a Free Mini Workshop
We've been thinking about this for a while, and we're finally getting our act together: every once in a while, we're going to host a free mini workshop, Introduction to Fountain Pens, here in the shop. The first workshop is Saturday, May 20th, from 10:30 to 11:00.
Behind the Scenes of a Blog Post
When the shop first opened back in 2013, I started writing the blog mainly as a way to keep people updated on shop news and new products, and also because when the shop first opened, there were some pretty quiet days, and it seemed like better than doing nothing in terms of keeping the business moving.

We're hoping to share photos of where we write, because sometimes the spaces around us can give us inspiration to get us dreaming and writing - what we love about that spot, or what is happening in our lives, why it's just the place for us.
