West End Main Shop Updates
We visited the west end shop again today, and it was a thrill to see how things are coming along. Jon has been back and forth a few times, but the entire family joined in today as we did another walk through.

One Last Caleb in the Halls
One of the things I'm going to miss most about this shop is that we're in our eclectic building with mazes of hallways and stairs and ramps and elevators. It took me a while to figure out all the turns, but one of my favourite things to do is to wander the halls with Caleb, and now, for just a few short months, the new baby.
The Making of a New Button
Following the great success of my Lamb-e buttons,* I thought I would share a little bit about the process of creating a new button. Step 1: I draw something with crayons or whatever I have on hand, onto a scrap of paper. You can see I initially drew it in red, but had some problems with the placement of my unicorn, so I had to draw it again in blue.
Happy Valentine's Day
It's nearly Valentine's Day! I'm all for any sort of holiday I can get with the freezing rain and slush and snow everywhere, especially if it involves chocolate.
Update on Renovations for the Studio Shop
Renovations continue! We had originally hoped to launch around mid-February, but our optimism, unfortunately, unfounded.

Things I Am Enjoying These Days: A reading light that clamps to your book Grinding coffee beans by hand, but I'm sure at some point I'm bound to go back to using my Mazzer grinder.
A Week at the Cottage
We spent a week up at the cottage, which was bliss! Frigid and frosty, but a delight to get out of the city. With Caleb starting preschool in September and then the baby arriving in October, I haven't been back since, I missed the air up there. Next we're looking at Holgates self catering cottages near Arnside it won't be quite as cold, but it is the UK so we're not even going to have a guess at what the weather will be like.

A Wonder Pens Year - 2017
Time flies like an arrow; Fruit flies like a banana. Another year! How time passes. It's hard to put into words all that has happened this year.
