Making it to Tokyo
We made it! It looked a bit hairy there for a minute, but we’re all here: all the luggage, most of our sanity, both children.
Studio Shop Summer Hours
It’s officially summer here, as the doors are open all day long and it’s iced coffees and ice cream as often as we can get it.
Taste of Little Italy
Last weekend was Taste of Little Italy, a street festival that happens once a year along College Street. They close College off to cars, and the whole street is filled up with tents and booths and people. Our main shop at 52 Clinton is just off College, midway along the festival, which is an exciting place to be. There’s music, balloons, rides if you go far enough west, and of course, lots of great food.
Re-potting the Plants at the Main Shop
This past Victoria Day weekend, the family headed over the to main shop to treat some of the plants to some fresh soil. Field Trip: Toronto Old Book and Paper Show
At the end of March, the family visited the one day Old Book and Paper Show. A bit like Scriptus, but slightly less crazy--or maybe it just seemed like that because we weren't behind the tables. It's a one-day show that showcases and sells old books, postcards, pamphlets, magazines, tickets, photographs and other vintage papery things.
March Break at the Cottage
We spent a few days of March Break up at the cottage, something we've been meaning to do more of. Now that Naomi is a bit older, and is turning out to handle longer car rides a bit better, we'll see how it goes.
Traveler's Notebook as a Travel Journal: San Francisco
A year and a half ago, Caleb and I went on a trip to San Francisco, and while there, I kept an insert in my Traveler's Notebook to document some of the things we did. It was my first time flying solo with Caleb and without Jon, and we both survived. We attended a wedding, did some touristy things, and also visited the San Francisco Pen Show.
