Favourite Spam Comments
Some of you long-time followers of the blog may know that I have an ongoing battle with spam. It reached a peak some time a year or two ago, and I had to delete a few blog posts that were receiving hundreds of spam comments a day, but now it's "under control."
Usually I filter through the spam comments fairly regularly to weed through them and approve actual comments made by readers. Every so often, I have to filter through some of the hundreds of backlogged comments that accumulate, something I often procrastinate doing because it's incredibly mind-numbing and demoralizing.
Every once in a while, though, I realize that there is joy to be had in reading some of these spam comments. Usually spam comments are in some sort of Cyrillic language or contain references to long lists of pharmaceuticals or biblical knowing or inexpensive overseas sports jerseys, but occasionally one or two will pop up that really make my day, and I realize I'm doing something right after all.
And, so, I thought I'd share some of my favourites. All original spelling retained for additional joy, but the best way to enjoy these, of course, is to read them out loud.

In other news, we're all enjoying the warm weather here. Reading outside, writing outside, eating outside. It's been a bit hairy the last couple of weeks with rain and storms and rain in the forecast and no rain but gloomy clouds, but I will even take hiding for cover from a quick rain storm at the park over the winter months of being snowed in.
We leave for Japan now at the end of the month. Time has certainly crept up on me, and I'm both tremendously excited and also slightly wary of how the small humans are going to do. And perhaps the big humans as a result. I'm certainly accepting any tips or recommendations anyone has on how to survive plane rides/business meetings/factory visits/busy Japanese stationery shops with kids in tow.
As (a very crucial) part of my preparation for our trip I'm sorting out my stationery. Blog post to come on what I'm bringing--I'm trying to keep the list tight as I intend to buy all of the pens in Japan and bring them home with me. Therefore, it's been a taxing effort to not ink up anymore pens, but to flush out, dry and store any pens that have written themselves empty. The horror. A pen clerk with a slowly diminishing personal store of pens.
