Leonardo Officina Italiana Momento Zero

We recently began carrying Leonardo Officina Italiana pens, and it’s been very exciting. I use the term “recently” quite loosely, as in between our first shipment (last year) and now time seems to have warped slightly. We were tremendously excited to get our last shipment in, which had some special orders that I know a few people were waiting for, and we weren’t sure what the timeline was going to be, with the situation in Italy.

Rohrer & Klingner Special Edition Schreibtinte Kastanienbraun

Rohrer and Klingner just released a special edition ink for 2019, a brown colour called Kastanienbraun, which roughly translates to maroon. It seems a bit more like a brown than a true maroon, but in either case, it’s a rich, warm brown.

Sailor Pro Gear Graphite Lighthouse

I used to be a Pro Gear person before I turned into a 1911 person, but with this new Pro Gear Graphite Lighthouse, I think I’m returning home. The main difference between the Pro Gear series and the 1911 series is that the Pro Gear pens have flat ends, whereas the 1911 series have rounded ends—a matter of aesthetics.

TWSBI ALR-Purple

The TWSBI ALR Purple was released last week and what a beauty. I fluctuate between being slightly behind the ball to being extremely behind the ball and so I’m sorry to say it’s already mostly gone, but we are expecting a new shipment imminently, hopefully by the end of the week.*

Pilot 78G Discontinued

Inks for the Autumn

It's definitely fall now - the last few weekends we've been driving around outside of Toronto, and it seems like the leaves are on fire. It sounds a bit morbid, but it must be such a slow and glorious death, to blossom into reds and oranges and yellows before falling to the ground.

Pelikan M400 Special Edition Brown Tortoiseshell

Our newest pen in the shop: the Pelikan M400 Brown Tortoiseshell. We've been thinking about carrying Pelikan in the shop for a long time - their beautiful inks in the Edelstein line and their 4001 series, but mainly about their pens.

Pilot Custom 92

It's been too long since I last took a look a fountain pen on the blog! A bit out of distraction and disorganization, with our recent trip, and other things going on in the shop, but here is one of my all time favourite pens: the Pilot Custom 92. It's a piston filler with a smooth and wet 14K nib.
