For the last couple of years, we’ve had Wonder Pens postcards with various pictures on them. Sometimes we print out ones for special events or occasions, but mostly they are scenes from our shop and our favourite stationery supplies.
A new year and we're almost done with January! I can hardly believe it, but to help make up for the shock of it, February is a month that brings with it Valentine's Day and Chinese New Year and abundant correspondence.
Oftentimes when you go to send a parcel through Canada Post, you bring your package to the post office so they can weigh it and charge you postage according to where you're going to send it.
The last few evenings I've been staying up late trying to finish up our Christmas cards, and I'm mostly through the list. I always enjoyed the process of picking out Christmas cards for family and friends.
Our Letter Writing Club is tonight! I usually try to do a reminder post a few days earlier so people have time to think about whether or not they can make it, but of course I forgot - I do hope a few of you can still make it! Last month was one of my favourite Letter Writing Club meets to date: we had a bunch of great people, but also a few familiar faces that I hadn't seen in a while, including one who had just returned from spending a few months sailing around on a boat.
So we're back into the swing of things, and I almost forgot that our Letter Writing Club is this evening! It was so nice to come back from our trip to find a nice little pile of mail waiting for me mixed in with the bills and invoices and promotions.
Our monthly Letter Writing Club is coming up! It's this Thursday evening. It sort of snuck up on me, but in a nice way, like a forgotten coffee date with a friend. Our last Thursday evening meet in May was a bit smaller, but I think I liked it a bit more intimate - there was more time to chat and take it easy.
Being a snail mail lover, of course whenever we go anywhere, I like to send postcards.
Way back a million years, Jon and I were young and in love and on different continents, pining after each other. I was in Madagascar, and Jon was in Canada, and then he left for a stint to travel through Asia.
International Correspondence Writing Month is February, where letter writers unite from their individual locations, and write one letter a day for the entire month. It's a good month because we're just starting to become a bit batty from all the snow and winter, and it's also a short month ;)
