Moving Update - Timelines & Information
Things are going full-steam ahead as we prepare for the move! We're lining up new furniture for shop display and the packing area, and Jon's big dream, to have a rack to put rolls of bubble wrap on, so he can just pull it off like tape, it's all coming true! Here's the need to know: We're moving to 250 Carlaw, Unit 105. We're closing 906 Dundas W on Sunday, May 3rd (We'll be open on Saturday, May 2nd regular hours 11-6). And the new shop opening will be Friday, May 15th. The new bricks and mortar shop is located at 250 Carlaw, Unit 105. It's a ground floor unit, but it's a little tucked away - you have to access it through a laneway. I know, I know - we're hard enough to find as it is! I'm hoping you'll still adventure out and visit. I'm trying to convince Jon we should take some video of him and Super walking off the Queen streetcar, up Carlaw, and then down the lane way to the shop. He's wary of my skills as director, but I'm working on it. Follow the lane way down and you'll find our shop - we're working on a sign for the door with our hours.
There's street parking on Carlaw, Queen and Dundas. We're officially going to be closing 906 Dundas Street West on Sunday, May 3rd. Please bear with us in the few weeks leading up to the move as stock levels may fluctuate. We're still in good shape now, and plan on being so for as long as possible leading up to the move. We'll be packing up extra stock, and we'll also be holding off on a few orders so we don't have more to move, and as well, so any delays for deliveries coming from overseas or across the border from the south won't result in lost packages. We're hoping to get the new shop up and running by Friday, May 15th. We'll have an announcement for our grand re-opening week with treats and drinks and surprises, but we're hoping to get our act together enough so if you'd like to stop by a few days earlier, you can pick up orders, or just browse what we have set up. If you're lucky, Jon may even enlist you to help him put together some furniture. Just kidding. Girls can do anything boys can do better. I'm hoping to have some more pictures for you soon as renovations roll on. Jon is doing most of the back and forth with the new place for now. We're doing a bit of a balancing act as we try to keep your orders moving out the door and the 906 shop organized and stocked. We're pretty confident in these timelines, you know, with a healthy dose of optimism. We're keeping our fingers crossed that the renovations don't run into any surprises (other than treasure maps hidden in the walls), but we'll keep you updated with any changes coming up. We're chomping at the bit! Caleb and Super are mentally preparing themselves for their new babysitters we've got lined up (, Jon has been flexing his bi-ceps while eating pizza, preparing for the heavy lifting, and I'm up to my eyeballs in cardboard boxes and newspaper. It's like I'm living at a recycling facility - and what could be more exciting?

Cheers! Much continued success to you. When in T.O. I will drop ‘round the new digs. Hope you’re also getting some good signage for the corner of the building to draw people down that lane :)

We’re pretty excited!
Right now, we do a little bit of both, and we’re hoping that the true pen nuts will still make the trek to see us :)

Looks fabulous, especially in a neighborhood that’s up-and-coming for stores and walking. It’s out of the way, though – are you expecting to do most of your business by mail?

My father-in-law did the Chinese calligraphy that’s on the wall in our 906 shop! We have a few brush pens, but we’re looking to get a few more in the coming year :) Hope to see you in the new shop!

This is super exciting – right on the way between my house and my Pau Pau and Gung Gung’s! I’ll have to take my grandfather after you move as he’s SUPER in to tinkering and apparently was a fairly proficient Chinese calligrapher back in the day.
