It's been a quiet few days here on the blog, mostly due to a series of unfortunate events, culminating in a horrific accident with a stroller and the camera. I would post a photo, but (aside from having no camera but my phone...) the pictures would make you gasp and cringe. The good news is that we have a giveaway here for you! We're trying to get the word out that we are moving, so please share with any pen friends you have! Stay tuned; we've got a few more fun surprises ahead. One of the first line of inks I ever used, and also one of the first lines we brought into the shop when we first started this business is Rohrer & Klingner. It's a rainbow of easy to clean, easy to write with inks (although pay a little extra mind for Salix + Scabiosa, iron galls!), and to this day, has some of my favourite inks. If I had to choose my favourite, which is a bit like asking a mother to choose her favourite child (for me, a tie between the baby and Super), I would have to say I am partial to Salix, Konigsblau, Leipziger Schwarz, Blu Mare, Scabiosa, and, of course, Alt-Gold grun. Interestingly, I have never tried Sepia, but it's on my list.
Rohrer & Klingner Inks from Wonder Pens wonderpens.ca
If you've had a hard time deciding which Rohrer & Klingner ink to try next, you're in luck! We're giving away a complete set - 18 inks - to add to your collection. You can tell me how you like the Sepia. To enter, leave a comment below! It'll be hard to resist, but please only enter once :) Canadian friends only. Contest closes 11:59 PM EST on March 24th, 2015. Winner announced March 25th, 2015. For an extra chance to win, consider visiting us on Instagram! We're giving away a complete set of inks here on the blog, and another set on Instagram.

I have a sepia Faber-Castell PITT pen and love the colour, so am intrigued at trying that colour in a fountain pen. I bought a bottle of Alt-Goldgrün from you and absolutely love it, it runs beautifully in my Pilot Metropolitan, so I would like to try different colour samples of the R & K. I am also
interested in trying their reds and I don’t have any blue ink at all, so that would be neat to try the R & K ones.

Ah, you guys always amaze me! I really need to head to your store (once it’s opened at the new place!) and check out all the goodies in person. But, I’m rather shy in that aspect. :P Hope that news about the stroller and camera wasn’t too bad! :O

Keep up the great work guys! Also, I wanted to say thank you because for the TWSBI 580 pen I got from you with the 1.1 Italic nib. It helped me in a bind when I was doing a project based on Calligraphy! :D

You guys keep rocking! <3

I’ve been ordering pens from online for years and have only recently discovered your store. I made an order of some ink and other stuff back in January and discovered that you split some of the ink which I thought was curious. I then realized that, of course, because it can freeze and crack the bottle. This was really thoughtful! I’m super pleased I’ve discovered your store and can’t wait to visit when I come back home to Toronto.

Jon told me a couple weeks ago that “it’s a slippery slope” when I bought my first fountain pens and inks a couple of weeks ago. It’s funny how that phrase entered my head again when I went into the shop for a second time to make my second (and definitely not last) purchases.

It’s a slippery slope but it’s a fun one too. Thanks for being an awesome shop :)

I am looking forward to visiting the new store. Good luck with the move!

It’s nice to see that Wonder Pens will be expanding! And moving closer to where I live :)

I hope the stroller and camera are ok.

I haven’t tried Rohrer & Klingner inks yet (being fairly new to using fountain pens) but I’m looking forward to the possibility of trying some of those magnificent colours.

Best wishes regarding the move!

I’m new to R&K but I think Salix is excellent – easily the most reliable ink I’ve used on any paper, and I find its oxidized color very satisfying. It’s still on probation in a sacrificial Safari until I’m sure it won’t eat any pens, but so far it hasn’t given me any trouble. Congratulations on the move!
