Ah, new Sailor inks. They are the ruin of me.

There are some new Bungubox inks on our shelves. They're not new new, but just new to North America.

Omaezaki Ruri-Umi - a medium blue with great sheen.
Bungbox Bungubox Hatsuyume Aofuji Writing Sample Canada
Hatsuyume Aofuji - a bright peacock blue.
Bungbox Bungubox Omaezaki Ruri-Sora Writing Sample Canada
Omaezaki Ruri-Sora - a dusky blue.
Bungbox Bungubox Fujiyama Blue Writing Sample Canada
Fujiyama Blue - a turquoise.
Bungbox Bungubox Kaoru Writing Sample Review Canada
Kaoru - a dusky green.
Bungbox Bungubox Norwegian Wood Writing Sample Review Canada
Norwegian Wood - a rich, forest green.
Bungbox Bungubox Tipsy Writing Sample Review Canada
Tipsy - a greyish, smokey purple
Seiya Silent Night - an ink I originally thought might be a black or a very dark grey, but turns out to be a great looking dark, dark blue.

These eight inks are a great palette altogether--these colours are right up my alley in hue as well as shading--but of course I have favourites. Of course! Seiya Silent Night and Omaezaki Ruri-Umi for sure, and Tipsy is a dusky beauty. I can't resist a good shader.

The new Bungubox inks are coming in the new bottles: glass bottles with a well to assist when your ink level is running low--tip the bottle forward so the ink catches in the front part. All of the Bungubox inks we currently have will slowly be migrating to the new bottles as stock runs out. The new bottles are smaller (30 mL versus 50 mL) as well as more expensive, so now is a good time to think about any particular favourites of the old line you might have.

The Four Seasons line is also moving to the smaller 20 mL Shikiori bottles, while keeping the same price, so an increase in price per mL. While I like a cute bottle, it's another good line to take a closer look at while the larger bottles are still around.

In any case, despite the snow today, it's a thrilling time of year to be running a stationery shop in Canada. With the temperatures warming up, we're getting more and more ink shipments. The long-awaited, much-anticipated Diamine shipment should be coming in the next couple of weeks, and we're also expecting another Noodler's shipment soon. Ink!
