Cosmo Air Light Notebook
The new Cosmo Note notebook is fairly new to our shop, and is of particular note because it’s made from the new Cosmo Air Light paper, from Yamamoto in Japan. Cosmo Air Light (also available in loose leaf A4) paper is extremely fountain pen friendly, super smooth and luxurious. In comparison to Tomoe River Paper, it is thicker, heavier, naturally more opaque and less resistant to ghosting (because Tomoe River paper is so thin).
Happy Fountain Pen Day
The first Friday in November is Fountain Pen Day, which is a day to celebrate our favourite desk supplies. If you missed it, perhaps you can celebrate on your own, today, or whenever you like, a little private fountain pen celebration. I celebrated by posting on Instagram.
Christmas Cards
We’ve received some boxes of Christmas cards in, and already they are making their way out. Some of them are classics in the shop, and others are new, and we are also expecting new orders of Christmas cards to come in.

Some time ago Kyo No Oto released some special edition shimmer inks, a blue one named Ruriiro and a green one named Ryokuyuiro.
Reopening the Main Shop
I found these photos from some time ago now, months! A surprise to no one but me, when I stumbled across these photos, that I would’ve made plans to share them on the blog but they got lost in the swamp of blurry photos of the cats.

Pumpkin Patch
We went to the pumpkin patch! While I continue to languish under oppressiveness of all the things that you’re supposed to do as a parent, all the experiences and opportunities you’re supposed to provide your children with, in a state of exhaustion I thought we’d forgo this year’s trip and focus instead on rallying all of my energies in preparation for going out to get a Christmas tree. We’d run out of weekends, days, before Halloween, and I had assumed the children would forget. Ha ha ha! The turkey hacks. I had suggested going to the supermarket and picking out extra special pumpkins, but the suggestion was not taken well.
