Chicken’s Corner: Cats in Toronto

In case you were missing these two beasts as much as I am: here are a few updates from the cat sitter, Hannah, who also works in the warehouse at the shop. She is multi-talented! She joked that by the time I came home the cats would love her more than me and I think she might be right. She’s been sending photos of these two handsome brothers.

They are doing their usual things, and it seems so bizarre that their lives are continuing on while I’m on the other side of the planet: Chicken is wandering around the heat, sunning himself on the fire escape; Tuna is lurking about looking for love; both of them are displeased with the cat dish water; alley cats visit like old grandpas on the stoop.

How funny that she sent me two photos of these cats on opposite sides of their own universe.

I’m sure they’re enjoying their summer roaming and lots of cat treats. These furry foo dogs! There are still a few more days yet before I’m home to give them a squeeze; I hope they’re getting ready for it. I’m planning on coming home prepared to bribe them back into loving me again.
