Handwriting & Cursive Writing Class for Kids
I'm getting back in the saddle! We're going to be hosting a handwriting and cursive writing class for kids on Sunday, August 23, and I'm teaching! It's like riding a bicycle, right?? ;)
Ink Doc Film Makes the Rounds
When Jon first told me that "this filmmaker" who knows Tanja, a regular customer of ours, was making a video on ink and handwriting, and wanted to come in and film the shop for a scene, I was all for that, in particular because Jon was going to be the one making the cameos for the shop scenes.
Pink Dinosaurs
I recently discovered Washi Tape, which opened up a whole new world for me. I think this is one of those things where I say, "Jon, I'm going to be sending some important e-mails," and then Jon stops by my desk 45 minutes later, sees me browsing washi tape online, decides it's probably best not to say anything, and walks away. I'm pretty sure I'm not using this stuff properly, but just give me some time.
INKdoc Giveaway Winner!
Thanks so much to everyone who watch the INK film and left a comment! It was great for me to read through them, and I had to laugh at a few of them :)
Cutting Teeth
It's been a big week for the baby. The first part of the big week is his adventure into our local indoor playground.
"Ink - Written by Hand" a Short Film + Giveaway!
Anyone who knows us knows that we're all over anything to do with ink and handwriting and slow writing, and so when Ryan Couldrey, a Toronto-based filmmaker, approached us with the possibility of helping him with his new short film on ink, of course we said yes. I think really I said yes on behalf of Jon, but you know, we got married, so two becomes one.
Vintage Pen Market
In our new space, we've got calligraphy classes and a Letter Writing Club on the calendar and now: our first Vintage Pen Market!
Happy Canada Day
It's Canada Day today, and we closed down the bricks & mortar. I think we legally had to, but it's also nice to take a day to rest and celebrate this country we live in.

Behind the Scenes: My Desk and Workspace
I don't know that too many of you will be extremely fascinated at the cogs and inner workings of our humble operations here at Wonder Pens, but I thought I would share a bit of the behind-the-scenes of the shop, and where all the logistics and brainstorming (and headaches) happen.
