The Grand Opening!

Or rather, the first official day of the store! We didn't plan anything too grand, since our store is  tiny and can't fit too many! We had a lot of people stop by, some even making the trip from Etobicoke or Mississauga just to check out the new fountain pen store. We also had quite a few drop-ins from the neighbourhood, seeing a new shop open up. It was a busy day, full of learning curves as we tested out our card machines and receipt printer live, and I only made a few mistakes... :) Jon and I were both there on Day 1, but from now on, it'll be mostly me in the shop during the workdays, and Jon will come on the weekends. In case you can't make it to the shop, here are a few pictures.

Memorable comments of the day include: "I was gone for a week, and I returned to find a new shop across the street!" "Are your pens really wonderful?" "I didn't get how this pen worked, and I've leaked ink on your table..." So it was a wonderful day! Here's to many more, and thanks to all who came.
