TWSBI Classic Fountain Pen - Sapphire

TWSBI's latest piston filling fountain pen. If you're familiar with the Diamond 580, you'll feel comfortable with the Classic. It is similar in size being only slightly smaller and, sporting a hexagonal body. It is decorated with silver coloured trims, and comes in several body colours. The cap can be posted.

Great colour discrepancy between photo and actual pen

After using a Classic with medium nib for over 2 years, I decided to try TWSBI's stub nib. I ordered the blue Classic in Stub nib online, as I like the cobalt blue shown in the photo a lot. But when I opened the box upon arrival, I was rather disappointed to find the pen to be navy in colour. It was even a shade darker than the navy SWIPE that I have. Other than that, I have no complaint performance-wise. I filled this with Pilot's Tsuyu-kusa, which is generally regard as a wet ink. Ink flow is pretty even on Rhodia and Muji notebooks, and no skipping even when I wrote quicky.
