Sailor Shikiori Fountain Pen Ink (20mL) - Fujisugata

Sailor Shikiori Fujisugata is a delicate violet colour in mass tone, but splits into violet, purple and blue, much like I’ve seen some Sailor Studio inks do. I inked up my Sailor 1911L 21kt H-B, and the ink felt thin under the nib. The nib didn’t feel scratchy, but I’ve had more pleasurable experiences with Sailor inks. There is nothing wrong with the ink, but I prefer monochrome colours—with or without shading or sheen—so here ends my review…

I'm surprised by the number of negative reviews there are out there of this colour, I'm absolutely in love with it. It shades beautifully, performs flawlessly, and is stunning on white or cream paper. Very little red tone which is a plus for me. A perfect purple.
