Tons of ink in the reservoir, and writes quite smoothly. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a non gold tip fountain pen.

Great pens

I have two TWSBI ECOs. Although they cannot be considered to be classic looking pens, they are my most used day to day pens. Both have the 1.1 mm nibs. Beautiful writers.

Very smooth writer made of brittle plastic.

This is easily the smoothest writing pen I've used. The nib was quite durable (I write at work, so the pen saw a lot of use), but similar to other reviewers, the plastic barrel cracked despite light writing pressure, high quality ink, and regular maintenance. If I can find another pen that fits this nib, I'll be very happy!

Fantastic writer, lackluster durability

Like the title of the review says, the TWSBI Eco is a great writer. I'd take to my lectures for note taking, and would use it like I use any other pen. It seemed to make every ink I put in it look good, and for a fine nib, it writes very well. The problem, is that after only TWO MONTHS of use, there was a big fat crack in the barrel right where I would put my fingers - big enough so that I would get ink all over my index and middle fingers. This happened without putting intense pressure on the nib and being sure to be careful with the pen at all times. This was extremely disappointing from a pen that I had heard so many positive things about.

I've emailed TWSBI directly about a replacement barrel/pen or a repair, but have not heard back yet (I emailed them ~15 minutes ago, so no pressure there).

Additionally, the piston can also be tricky if you're trying to put it back together after cleaning it - the length of it will determine the amount of ink you're able to insert into the pen, which isn't a great design choice.
