Perfect for Renewing Love for Fountain Pens

I hadn't used a fountain pen in many years and when I read the reviews for the Kakuno, I knew I needed it. Not only do they look cute, they are comfortable to write with and lightweight. I use a Medium nib and the ink really flows nicely. Using these makes me want to keep writing.

Nibs on the Pilot Kakuno

I just bought two these pens to carry around with fear of losing them. I bought both with "F" nibs and should have bought "M". The fine is way TOO fine. One of the inks I'm using is "Barkley's Blue Teal" from Organics Studio and the fine nib does not lay down enough sink to discern the nuances of the colour. Also, the fine nib on one of the pens is more fine than the other (inconsistent). I'm not too happy with the pens notwithstanding my desire for a 'cheap' pen. Maybe I should have bought something better?

Great everyday fountain pen!

Writes and flows well. I would recommend as an everyday fountain pen.

Leaky

I really liked this at first! It's my first fountain pen. But it has started to leak after like a day of use. There is always ink on the front of the pen. Ink in the cap, ink on my fingers. Disappointing, the :) is always covered in ink so :(
