Kaweco Bordeaux Al-Sport Piston

Another new pen in the shop I could not resist, and so I am back here. Actually I am in good company with a few staff who also picked up this pen, and there is strength in numbers. We must band together in this world.

Kaweco has released a new Al-Sport Piston Bordeaux, a lovely burgundy. Is this a fall pen? A Christmas pen? I will just take it and wait for the birds to whisper into my ear all the secrets of the wind.

Several months ago, if not longer (likely longer), I gathered all of these Octopus sheening inks to do a blog post with writing samples of them all, but as always, my ambitions are but dust motes in the light. And now here one is, Gryphon, a burgundy-esque with green sheen. Is it brown? Yes, and also a bit burgundy. A quietly satisfying match for me.

In any case, I am enjoying my new pen. My pen roll is extremely full. My cup overfloweth. I am dealing with the vagaries of life by acquiring new stationery treats. Surely this cannot be sustainable but who knows. I guess we’ll find out.

The children continue on somewhat unsupervised. I continue to blend my soul into my dog’s as he continues to break down all mental fortitude I once managed to retain. I sit among the crumbs and ruins of what once was, enjoying my new pens.
