Opus 88 Koloro Fountain Pen - Pink Demo

Made in Taiwan, these new Opus 88 fountain pens feature a huge ink capacity as well as a unique, Japanese style eye-dropper filling mechanism. The pen has an ink shut off value to prevent ink from leaking into the cap during travel or changes in air pressure. During longer writing sessions, leave the shut off valve open so ink can make its way down into the feed.

An over-sized pen, the KOLORO is ergonomically comfortable for longer writing sessions, and available in several translucent colours, as well as in the clear.

The KOLORO has a steel #6 Jowo nib and comes with a glass eye dropper to help fill up your pen.

This pen can not be posted.

Dimensions: 15 cm
Weight: 26 g

Pen does not come with any ink.

Happy pen

I was attracted to the design and the colours of the Opus 88 pens, and the Koloro in particular. Love this colourway with its one bit of turquoise on the cap, and the flash of lime green in the logo. And demonstrators are always interesting. So A+ for a fun design. I also wanted a larger pen as I find them more comfortable to write with. It is a light pen and I usually prefer something more substantial, but the light weight is no doubt easier on the hands. The shut-off valve is taking a little getting used to: when it's closed sometimes the ink does not flow, and the first time that happened it took me awhile to remember there was a valve. Now I am more in the habit of opening the valve, but not always of closing it. The flex nib looks handsome and performs well, though really, I shouldn't be allowed to comment as I do pointed pen calligraphy and so am spoilt when it comes to flexibility and, more importantly, control. This pen comes with a glass eye-dropper, which is my preferred method of filling up. Love the large ink capacity. I was waffling about buying it despite all the good reviews because the price seemed a little steep: closer to a Vanishing Point than to a TWSBI. But I don't regret it: it's a unique pen, writes well, is comfortable to hold, and makes me smile to look at.
