Edison Pen Co. Fountain Pen - Collier Persimmon Swirl

This is a larger pen - almost 13 cm uncapped and 14mm barrel. But it is incredibly light. For me, that makes it so easy to hold - it feels substantial in my hand, writes really smoothly (I use Rhodia and Tomoe River with a medium nib). I was originally sold on this by the psychedelic Persimmon Swirl pattern. I recently let the pen sit for 3 weeks, about half inked, and when I picked it up it immediately started writing as if I had just been using it a few minutes earlier! Am planning to buy a 1.5mm nib for this - so I can switch nibs and get the pen to change character as I want. So glad I bought this Edison.

This 1.1 mm stub is simply the smoothest nib I've ever met . The pen itself is a thing of beauty, a nice size to hold even in my small hands, but surprisingly lightweight. I also like the fact that there is no metal band around the cap or barrel to detract from the pattern in the resin. It's a fabulous pen!

I've had my Edison Collier fountain pen for about 3 or 4 weeks now and I'm very impressed with its appearance and how well it writes. Others have also commented favorably on it's striking appearance. I got the Persimmon Swirl.

Every serious fountain pen user eventually wants an Edison Pen. I recently bought the Collier in the Persimmon swirl pattern with a 1.1 mm stub nib from Wonderpens and love it. The Collier is a beautiful and substantially sized pen but is also very light. The pen comes with a cartridge convertor but is easily converted into an eyedropper with a huge ink capacity suing a bit of silicon grease . I've never had a stub nib before but find the edison stub nib very smooth and fun to write with. Finally, by ordering spare nibs and swapping them the Collier easily becomes a completely different kind of pen depending on your needs at the time. A gateway pen.
