Fantastic paper. Holds ink very well and keeps things nice and saturated

Great pad for art experiments with pencil and light washes

Although I use this pad with pencils, mostly, I am amazed how this pad was able to handle light washes with watercolour pencil and ink, or water-soluble-lead pencils. It's quite absorbent. The only drawbacks are that it is hard to rip a page out of the page nicely, without the help of a sharp tool, and to hold the cover back and work, without the weight of a bull clip. I recommend putting a blank sheet between pages if you are working right out the pad and using very wet ink or a bit more water, to maintain the pristine next page. I like this pad because it's not very expensive compared to hardcover pads and you get lots of paper to experiment with pencil crayons, ink, and light washes. Shimmer inks are not ideal for this absorbent paper.
