Kaweco Perkeo Fountain Pen - Cotton Candy

I bought this and the Kaweco student on a whim - I wanted more pens. It's a pandemic and I needed something to make me feel better about the world
Success! This pen is very different from the Student - it's really light and obviously plastic but it writes well. If I ever go back to leaving my house, this would likely be the pen I make sure I take because if I lose it it won't break my heart. It's a fun colour and very comfortable. Up until now, I've bought 2 Lamy, 2 (very cheap) Cross pens and I have a couple of vintage pens as well. I think the Kaweco are my new favourite and will get tons of use. I was going to give it 4 stars because I was comparing it to the Student but I thought that was unfair because this pen is $22.50 where that one is $70 and it's in a different category.
If you're looking for a nice, inexpensive pen that is a consistent performer and comes in lots of options and fun colours, this one fits the bill.

I bought it on a whim, knowing almost nothing about fountain pens. The colours were fun, maintenance was easy, and my F nib wrote well without any problems. The triangular grip might be controversial but it was very helpful in forcing me to hold the pen the "correct" way. Would definitely recommend it to others as a first pen.
