Palomino Blackwing Pencil Point Guard - Gold

This is particularly an item for which the amount of stars really depends on your budget. It's pretty expensive but it does what It's supposed to do very well.

What I'm about to say might sound knit-picky but I feel it's justified considering the price point, and the fact that blacking should be synonymous with perfection.
The gold colour used on this is a distinctly different gold colour relative to the one used in the blacking pencils with a gold eraser holder. From an aesthetics perspective this is really frustrating and it seems like a pretty major oversight. I don't know if I'd go so far as to say the contrast is unsightly, but it's annoying to have two very different shades of gold, especially when they're the same brand and everything. It makes this product look less tasteful compared to the gold colour on the pencil which is the superior gold colour.

From a utility perspective this thing is great. I've never had it slip off accidentally, but it comes off easily when intended. doesn't leave any mark on the pencil.
