Traveler's Notebook - 016 Pen Holder Blue

Although pretty, this clip supports a very limited number of pen models correctly. It also holds in an unpractical way on the cover.

Although this looks nice and the materials may be of good quality, the pen holder simply fails at its job. The clip has a 'curl' and if you attach it to the back of the notebook, where it should belong, the upwards curl pokes into your desk and makes a bump in the journal. Not useful as a writing surface. If you flip the clip around, the curl presses into your paper and then the pen dangles off the wrong way. You can put it on the front but the curled metal is still gonna get you and it ruins the aesthetic of the cover. The tension of the clip, also, isn't very strong which means when you try to tug out your pen, the clip slides around the cover of your journal leaving scratches. It takes two hands to remove a pen.

I regret this purchase. I think i'd be better off to punch some holes into the cover and rivet in a simple leather loop.
