Great Hobonichi A6 techo dupe!

This is the perfect size for those who use their A6 techos strictly for journaling (i.e. writing and a bit of sketching), but want something a bit friendlier on the wallet! It essentially has one page a day for the entire year, without all those extraneous calendar and info pages that you might not need. Very simple, no-frills, and the date/grid system is pretty unobtrusive if you choose to just use it as a regular notebook.

You really can't beat the form factor (it's purse-friendly!), although those who want to maintain a bujo-style setup or love to decorate will probably be better off sizing up to an A5 at least. But for my needs, it was perfect.

I just received my A6 sized notebook

Okay, so I picked the wrong size-- and like the reviewer before my review, I'll be keeping it. It's perfect to have in one's purse and be able to pull it out when a particular and random fancy hits. I love the look of the book and it's thin pages as it reminds me of my time in Japan. I think I will invest in a bigger one so I can indulge in the bullet system for journaling. This book is highly recommended for its quality and ease of use.

Beautiful paper, tiny package

I use this with Lamy Safaris with Medium nibs, and while there is some bleed through, it's not terrible. Your mileage may vary depending on the ink you use, but I love it when a journal looks well loved. Unfortunately I wish I'd purchased the A5 version over this one, as my writing is somewhat large for such a small notebook. I'll keep it (it's a very purse-friendly size), but I can tell I'll be upgrading to the A5 version soon.

Not for FPs

I was quite excited to use this as a new bullet journal. I use a vintage Rapidograph with India ink as my main pen and the paper is great with that. However, I use a fountain pen for contrast and while the paper seems to handle continuous writing in a F or EF nib anything that leaves slightly bigger ink pools bleeds through. That included some bullet points and letters done with an M Italic. A bit annoyed by this as I had read a number of reviews prior to purchase, and this notebook fits perfectly in my Hobonichi cover.
