Rhodia Pad No. 16 - Dot - Black (A5)

Super smooth and fountain pen friendly

I love the size of this notepad! It’s great for letter writing in A5 (C5?) envelopes.

But what I love most is how smooth the paper is. It feels luxurious to me!

This is my mostly used notepad.

The size is great for sketching out ideas, taking notes, making lists and random doodles and ink testing.

This to me is a goldilocks sized paper, not too big, not too small.

The quality of the paper itself is above average. It allowed for showing of ink properties well. This includes but is not limited to sheen, shade, shimmer, saturation. It feels lightly coated to me so it is somewhat resistant to absorbing Ink. If you have a particularly wet ink, expect a longer drying time or consider getting blotting paper.

This is the best paper in my opinion for fountain pens. All nibs that I have used glide across this paper effortlessly.

The dot grid is also my ideal configuration. the dots are there when I need them but subtle enough to blend in with the paper when I don't.

I started this book at the beginning of May. Today is august 16th and I still have 32 pages left! Awesome price and awesome paper! I throw at least one of these into every order I place.

This is my first experience with Rhodia and I am amazed by how such thin paper can take ink so well. I love this pad for jotting down quick notes; it's super smooth but dry time is far less compared to my LIFE notebook. Rhodia is my new go-to for office pads and notebooks.
