True blue

A very nice deep blue, maybe the tiniest hint of purple. Writes well, I haven't found any stopping issues :) it's a beautiful rich and punchy blue, much nicer than the blue in ballpoint. Beautiful enough to stand out but not obnoxious

Good all around blue

This blue is dark and saturated. I picked it for these two properties. A nice hue for work though I prefer a permanent ink. There is a sheen to it that has hints of purple. The worst thing about this ink is the startup. I've noticed it has a bit of trouble getting going if it sits unused a few days. Then it has a separated look like the pigment and water split and all I get is the water for a few lines. Again, not a deal breaker and I can't say it is the ink or the pen but because others have reported this same thing, I thought I'd add this observation. And this cost it a star.

Favourite Diamine Blue

I've only tried a few Diamine inks so far, but Sargasso Sea is my favourite for taking notes. It is a very saturated blue, so don't expect any shading, and sometimes there are hard starts (i.e. the ink takes a second to start again if the fountain pen is left uncapped for a bit), but this is not a big deal for me. Like the majority of Diamine inks I've tried, its flow characteristics are good as well. Highly recommended!
