Jacques Herbin 1798 Anniversary Fountain Pen Ink (50mL) - Amethyste de l'Oural

I've long been on the lookout for the perfect purple ink, and I've found it in Amethyste de l'Oural. I actually use Sailor's Shigure as my go-to daily ink, (because in a pen with an extra-fine nib, it's almost black and therefore very professional), but when I'm in the mood for a rich, royal, beautiful purple, this ink is perfect. And I love the silver sparkles; they give your letters and cards that something special. This bottle is my new favourite.

For the past few months I've been looking for a dark purple. Amethyste de l'Oural is not as saturated as Shigure nor is it as bright as Bilberry (which pleases me). It is also a bit more red (not blue)than those inks.. but not as purple-red as Pelikan Edelstein Amethyst. The silver sparkle is lovely. Right now it's in my Franklin- Christoph .7mm Italic Masuyama nib, which is sometimes a bit dry, and the flow is just perfect.
