Diamine Fountain Pen Ink (80mL) - Eclipse

I like Diamine inks for their colours and quality, and this is one of the nicest. Such an interesting, subtle colour. Professional, but by no means boring.

Eclipse could pass for black, especially if you put down a lot at once. If you compare it to a true black though, you'll definitely notice it has hints of a lovely greyish-purple tint. It also flows very well in my medium Pilot nibs.

This is the very first Diamine ink that caught my attention:- the colour of the sky during the eclipse... oh well, I think it resembles more of a night sky than anything. (Or black well-ripen Eggplant). I will categorize this ink as a "black" ink with purple tint. It can pass in the professional environment.

It is my favourite ink, flows wet, shades here and there. I particularly experience bleed-through especially with my wet nib, and this ink being wet. But does it prevent me from using it? NO.

One thing I also had is that it stained my finger for a day, just so you can be aware of it!
