Diamine Fountain Pen Ink (80mL) - Damson

The 2ml sample vial was quite full. Wonderpens normal small vial can be hard to fill from, but an easy fix with a blunt syringe. The colour of the ink was a nice kind of dusty purple. Definitely a great contender for my Ideal Purple.

I wanted to find an ink that would be a good everyday purple, but it sadly is mostly a pitch black with a hint of purple, it did not meet my expectations, though I do like the flow. The ink swatch is nothing at all what you can expect for the writing, even when diluted, it is still mostly black.

If you want a deep toned down dusty purple, I recommend J herbin poussier de Lune as it has rich, beautiful and conservative color. And it flows a bit better, though it is double the cost, I cannot recommend it enough

This is an absolutely fantastic ink. The right amount of wetness is easily laid down from any of your good writers.

I can't say that I have any use for inks other than black and blue, but this colour can easily find a home in the pen of any business person as it is somewhat of a 'mullet' colour as I call it; all business up front, but a party in the back. You can easily sign any document and write any note without appearing too 'creative' to be holding a serious job, but yet in the back of your head the satisfying grin of using a fine writing utensil to write a note after seeing a glowing review like this is all you need to keep your day going.

When this ink hits the paper, I'm always like 'DAAAAM SON' that looks great.

Great colour: a lovely dark plum.
