New from Sailor is the Manyo ink collection—available exclusively outside of Japan—a selection of sixteen colours inspired by the flowers referenced in Manyoshu, or "Collection of Ten Thousand Leaves"; an anthology of ancient Japanese poetry. Themes of love, travel, celebration, and the passage of time are prominent, but it is the Japanese flora that takes centre stage, with more than 1,500 of the poems referencing plants and flowers.

Great Ink

I quite like this ink. It is lighter in tone but shades nicely. I usually use medium & wide nibs & I find this performs wonderfully. The colour is a beautiful & reminds me of a summer lake.
As a left-handed person, I really appreciate the faster drying quality of this ink.

Unusable

The ink is so faint it looks like you're writing with a recently flushed pen. And somehow, it's so dry it feels like you're writing with Elmer's glue. For me it skips almost every other letter, even in a broad nib. Simply unusable. It's a real shame too because the colour and shading are beautiful.
