This is what I want a Kaweco pen to be

Having owned half a dozen Kawecosports (affordable enough to give away) and always feeling like they were a bit "cheap" (because they are) this is how I wanted my Kaweco pen to be. Nice details. A step up in finishing. This pen is pretty great for a reasonable price.

One thing: like all Kaweco pens, up your nib size by one to be happy. Most of my pens are F, but Kaweco pens always need to be M for me to like them.

Smooth and nice ink flow. Nice feel. Good feedback on the nib. Some nibs will really interact with the paper. Some will float across the top like glass on glass. The Kaweco is nicely in the middle.

Highly recommend. Great pen for the price. You'll need to spend a lot more to get better.

Ups and Downs, Mostly Ups

Smoothest pen I write with using finest nib size. A beautiful pen to move across the page. The clip is secure and the pen body is durable and resistant to scratches. I struggled with the flow in both Kaweco pens I own and when a quick signature is needed no brand has let me down with a dry nib more than Kaweco. It may be oily nibs or finicky assembly or something that I am doing wrong but I would use another brand to sign my wedding papers to ensure the ink flows when needed. This pen rattles, so I wrap tape around the cartridge to quiet that aspect. The case looks like faux leather and is seemingly a low cost item. Sailor or Waterman pens present as a gift far better at this price. Once I quieted the cartridge rattle, returned the cheap case and reconciled the hesitant nib, this pen became inviting and pleasing to write with. I stayed the course because of the smooth nib and extraordinary overall aesthetics of this fine pen.
