Rhodia Pad No. 19 - Lined Yellow Paper - Orange (Legal)

Lately I have been using a Platinum Plaisir M and a Preppy F, plus a TWSBI Swipe Stub nib for making notes, because I loveed the convenience of snap caps. But none of them worked properly on the Rhodia Yellow paper. Both Plaisir and Preppy laid down much less ink than on other types of paper (whether generic office paper or fountain-pen friendly ones), even though the inks used were Pilot Kiri-Same and Fuyu-Syogun. My writing was merely legible up close. As for the Swipe, which had Herbin's Bleu Myositis, it skipped at every horizontal stroke.
In order to determine whether it was a matter of ink-nib combination, or simply the problem with the nibs concerned, I loaded my TWSBI Classic Stub nib with Pilot's Tsuyu-Kusa, and my Pilot Vanishing Point Medium with Kiri-Same. Both performed as usual. Even my very-dry Sailor MF with Tsuyu-Kusa deposited more ink than the Preppy Fine.
Suffice to say, the Rhodia Yellow paper doesn't like budget-friendly fountain pens!
