Pilot Falcon Resin Fountain Pen - Black with Gold Trim

I can’t believe I wasted money on the 12 other pens I own. Mostly Noodler pens. The gave me no satisfaction out of the box and they lay in a box never to be used. When I first bought my first pen I was told that the pilot Falcon was an advanced user pen. Too expensive for the beginner. Wrong ! If this can fit your budget buy it. It is perfect out of the box and never railroads at all regular writing is so smooth and if you want to add the slightest pressure you will get the thicker down stroke no problem! I wasted enough money to have bought 4 of these

The soft fine tip has a really nice feel to it. It is very soft and flexible unlike any other fountain pen I have owned. It makes the noodler flex and lamy safari seem stiff in comparison. After a week of use the tip seems twice as smooth. It is surprisingly light. At first I wasn’t sure if I would like it as I like a substantial feeling Pen as others at this price are usually heavier. However with a week of use I am liking it very much. Love the nib. Some reviews I saw think it looks odd. I think it is unique and great looking. I assume that is why it received its name. My only disappointment is small. The included converter is a bit short so you get ink on your fingers when refilling with a taller ink bottle. The pen is a bit short compared to many. However, I have medium large hands and it doesn’t bother me. I don’t like posting my pens but it is still long enough to not require posting it.

I'm not often compelled to write reviews, but I am so impressed with this pen I feel I must share my thoughts. Just opened the box, filled with Noodler's Kiowa Pecan ink and "Wow"! Extra Fine nib is nothing short of incredible. Lays down the finest, crispest line I have ever experienced. Given the tiny point, I did not find it to be at all scratchy. Ink flow is perfect and available line variation with this beautiful nib is outstanding. Love at First Sight!
