Diamine Fountain Pen Ink (80mL) - Evergreen

My initial impression of this ink was that it was more greenish/black than evergreen; however I was writing in the darkness of my basement and could not see the true tone in natural light until the sun decided to shine today.

Upon further inspection when I held up my page to the light I was delighted to see the shading and complex layers of dimension in the tonality! Vincent's review describes it best, I would also echo the sentiment of seeing the verdant shades in the boreal forest; which was exactly how I had pictured it in my head when purchasing this colour from Diamine. For me this is the complex neutral ink I have been "pining" for as a lover of trees and old-growth forests.

This green reminds me of the color when looking upon the boreal forest or the vast valleys in the mountains in winter. A dark color which reveals a deep and profound green when the sun is high or one is looking more closely.

A very nice everyday ink with a twist that is easy to read, has a good shading (not spectacular but appreciated) and is well-behaved. Don't expect a bright green from this one though (especially when you have light colors to contrast).

This ink is a greenish black, but it's really more black than green. It's not my idea of an evergreen.
