Tips on Tidying Stationery: Organizing and Storage
Chinese New Year is rolling around (February 5th this year)! Jon and I are both second generation Chinese, and while we don't follow as many traditions as I would like, one tradition is to deep clean your house before the new year, so you can enter with a fresh start. And, in case you've missed it, Marie Kondo and Netflix just released a show based on her book, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up.

It's Christmas! Now that we're in December, I think it's officially the season. I've sort of had my head in holiday prep for a little while, but I'm glad to be joined by everyone else.

Fall! My favourite time of year. What stationery nerd doesn't appreciate this season of fresh supplies and new beginnings? We've begun nearing the end of unpacking all the boxes, although I will admit an undisclosed number of boxes have been relegated to basement storage, unopened.

As spring marches on into summer, I'm enjoying the settling in and slowing down, and recently, I did some cleaning and freshening up of my lineup. Like with most things in life, there's nothing more conducive to productivity and clearing out the cobwebs of your mind than doing a good reorganization and flushing out of your workspace and tools.

I've been packing up bits and pieces of our apartment as we get ready for the move ahead, a sort of weird in-between time as I'm making decisions on what we can live without for a month or two, and what needs to wait.Â

Staff Stationery Show and Tell
This past Saturday, when we had the whole team in, we did a little stationery show and tell - everyone brought a pen and ink, and something fun. I was re-living my teacher days by asking if anyone wanted to share some of their picks for the week on the blog, but was thrilled when Derrick and Brendan (and Jon!) indulged me by writing up what they brought over the weekend - our weekend being Sunday/Monday. I guess the thing about stationery nerds is that we like to talk about stationery.
