The 700R is a remake of the 700. The external design is the same, but has a little bit of internal re-engineering to make it work smoother.

The pen sports an exciting vacuum fill mechanism. With a body size similar to the popular 580 series, and a textured clip, it is a great addition for anyone who is a TWSBI fan. The pen features a clear body, which allows you to witness the vacuum fill mechanism in all its glory. Best of all - you can fully disassemble your pen so you can clean it properly and easily. Simple and elegant, yet completely usable for everyday writing. Comes with a small vial of silicone grease and a wrench for disassembly.

VAC 700 nib units are not compatible with the VAC 700R

I’m in love! It writes so smoothly.

Yeah please get this pen when you can!

First Vac700R iris I bought recently was the last one in stock and had a bold nib. Still had fun with hatching (it can reverse write/draw pretty well!) Overall design has a beautiful flow to its shape with the eye-catching iris pattern, dropped it at times with no cracks or issues. Refreshingly large ink capacity, coming from a Lamy Safari, its a treat to see all the ink it holds! Writes consistently and smoothly. Pen feels quality all around, with just a slight satisfying heft, nicely balanced and feels like an extension of my arm. Its also easy to clean/refill in my opinion. Just bought a second iris with an ef nib as soon as they were in stock again, in case something happens to the first, and the ef nib writes better than expected. A great pen for both art and writing, waited a bit to get it as my dream/daily pen. They seem to be available now so get it or regret it!

Omg. This pen is EXCEPTIONAL!!!! I am new to fountain pens but I love everything about this pen. It writes beautifully, stunning to look at, the perfect weight. It’s MAGIC.

Omg I’m in love.

I fell in love with the photo of this pen when it was first released (around my bday) and missed it. Managed to snag one this time around and I’m obsessed. First... It’s soooooo pretty. Second, it feels really nice in your hand. Third (and really most important) it writes like a dream. I’ve been a longtime Lamy girl, but I have to admit, I’m now also a TWSBI girl. Because of this pen. Love love love. If it comes back, don’t wait. Get one.

Gorgeous pen

I got it with a medium nib. It writes well and the filling system seems fairly sturdy. Build quality is on par with the 580 AL. I can't stop looking at it.
