Yamamoto Papers Part I: The Thicker Ones

Yamamoto Papers Part I: The Thicker Ones

I have long been promising writing samples of these papers, and at last here I am with them. There are eleven types of paper that we got in from Yamamoto. All the papers can be found on the website here. I’m splitting them into three blog posts to help separate all the information a bit.

Midori MD 2021 Planners

Midori MD 2021 Planners

While the Midori MD 2021 planners don’t have quite the splash that Hobonichi has, some of you have been using these planners for a while and have been waiting for these ones to come in. The MD notebooks are popular because of their high quality paper, but also the really simple binding and design.

Plant Life

Plant Life

We recently got in some stationery-adjacent things, which are sometimes my favourite things to get in. We (I) spend a lot of time overanalyzing the specifics of which ink with which pen, or how I’m going to use which notebook for what, but sometimes it’s nice to have something entirely new to contemplate.

Field Notes United States of Letterpress

Field Notes United States of Letterpress

The latest seasonal release from Field Notes is the United States of Letterpress, and it’s one of my favourites, right up there with another past letterpress Two Rivers. I also did of course really like the National Parks editions. So it’s a tight race.

J. Herbin Vert Atlantide

J. Herbin Vert Atlantide

A new colour from J. Herbin! J. Herbin Vert Atlantide. Joining the sparkly line of Jacques Herbin, this is a green green, with both silver and green shimmer.

The colour is, of course, inspired by the dream realms of Atlantis, with both gold and silver shimmer as part of its magic and mystic. Whether or not Atlantis is a personal and meaningful connection for you, the actual ink itself is quite lovely.

Traveler’s Notebook 2021 Things

Traveler’s Notebook 2021 Things

It’s a different sort of release than Hobonichi (second shipment coming soon!), which was exciting and thrilling and exhilarating and full of indecision. Stamps! Notepads! Covers! I liked so many of the covers, but realistically have far fewer notebooks needed in my life to be housed in them.

Blackwing Eras + Blackwing Volume XIX: The Voting Pencil

Blackwing Eras + Blackwing Volume XIX: The Voting Pencil

The purple and yellow-starred Volume XIX is The Voting Pencil, the latest Volume to be released. With the US election coming up, it’s a tribute to the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution, guaranteeing American women the right to vote. In these times, voting is becoming increasingly important, and the fight for voting rights and education continues at home and around the world.

New Sailor Manyo Inks

New Sailor Manyo Inks

Sailor released eight new Manyo inks to join the line. It is always a fun day when new inks come in, particularly from Sailor. They have so many colours! It’s hard to choose favourites, but I suppose that’s never stopped anyone from trying.
