Pilot Namiki Vanishing Point Fountain Pen - Raden Galaxy

It took me a few years to bite the bullet and pay the extra expense for the beautiful raden finish, but zero regrets! It sounds obnoxiously bourgeois but I adore this pen. It looks stunning and feels great to write with. It is a gorgeous pen, and like other vanishing point models it is wonderfully convenient for people who like to jot quick notes or sketches and don't want to fiddle with a cap. It doesn't dry out quickly so you don't have to be overly stressed out about clogging it up with dry ink and even if you do, the nib unit is easy to remove and soak.

For maximum enjoyment and shading, I do recommend getting the Medium nib (which I find to be closer to a fine nib), based on my experience with other VPs that have an EF or F nib (EFs tend to be quite scratchy and low flow, which is problematic for quick writers; Fine is marginally better in terms of how it feels but it's still a little sluggish if you're writing fast, and closer to what I would call EF)
