Best little sketchbook

I absolutely love this little sketchbook for its versatility, practicality, and 'small but mighty' strength! The paper is light and textured enough to take mutliple layers of coloured pencil and combinations of ink to reveal subtleties and richness of colour and tone. I even experimented by treating a page with gesso and the paper handled it fairly well with the additional layer of gouache. Careful though; just a glob or thicker layer of acrylic and your pages will stick to each other. The 4x 6 inch pages are perfect for quick collages in mixed media and for making markings and doodles. The stitched binding means the notebook can be opened to lie flat and can handle the weight of a collage without the pages falling out. The cover is flexible but sturdy cardstock. Great for creating a small picturebook project.

A nice change from the usual.

Love the tone of the paper. Holds the ink well and compliments the different colours I used.
Also great with graphite and water colour. No bleed through.
