Junia is in preschool and adjusting well. Or, who knows! Junia starts crying and running for me every time I come to pick her up, like she’s being released from the gulag, but the reports from the school have been vaguely cheerful, if also disconcertedly non-specific, so I’m taking what I can.

And, with all my abundant free time, I’ve been trying to catch up with all the other things in life. I have been scrolling back through old photos, trying to sort them out into various blog posts or drafts, many photos of special editions that have now sold out, some with the vibrant green park trees of last summer, and of course a selection of cat and baby photos, featuring our Junia and Tunia together. How can you not love how pathetic Tuna is, snuggling up with the one creature approximate to his size, willing to have him, as long as she is non-sentient? These two bear cubs, both scrabbling for the crumbs on the floor, enjoying their floor snacks together, as everyone else machetes their way through their own worlds.

Tuna’s just so adorable! He really is a small, gentle soul looking for love wherever he can. You’re lucky he chose you guys. :)

My dog does the same thing with my 5-year old. If my son falls asleep somewhere on the couch or something, she cuddles up next to him and gets closer and/or more on top of him as much as she can.

It’s adorable, though we do need to watch it because she outweighs him by 10-15 pounds :)
